I haven't gotten into much HF until I went to college.

I haven't read much paranormal historical fiction. Unless you count Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. It's got magicians, faeries, and a smidgen of history. I've never learned so much about the Napoleonic Era. If you have any recommendations, feel free to send them my way! And I love...I LOVE historical fiction soo so much!! And I love this list! I'm with you on HF making events/stories easier to remember. I think probably 85% of my knowledge of history is because I read tons of HF as a child. I also love the time travel aspect. In a way, HF feels like fantasy to me, except better, because these things you're reading about *actually* happened, and you get to experience them!
Right now my favorite genre is paranormal historical fiction. Have you read any?
I'm reading Code Name Verity right now and I like it so far!
Great post!! I love your list! It's another one of my favorites too, but it's already pretty popular, so I didn't mention it here. But it deserves reading and rereading, and why don't I own a copy yet? I should get one. I particularly love learning about things. Like I read an excellent HF set during an earthquake in the 1800s (it was called Outrun The Moon) and I didn't even know about that event, so it was eye-opening as well as an amazing story. :D And one of my favourite historicals is definitely The Book Thief! I also love Walk on Earth A Stranger because magic + gold rush. <3CG @ Paper Furyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14954615708675952085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2729454467194263392.post-76640909892923405852017-08-29T02:15:31.231-07:002017-08-29T02:15:31.231-07:00I'm glad you concur, Mrs. Fluegel.
